Privacy Policy
01 Overview
2nd Strike Corp (“2nd Strike,” “we,” “us”) is a holding company based in Los Angeles, California. This policy explains what personal information we and our products collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2nd Strike Corp is the entity responsible for the products described below (the “data controller”). This single policy covers our company website and each of our products, except where a product presents its own supplemental terms at the point of use.
We do not sell your personal information. Where we use advertising or analytics tools that may count as “sharing” under California law, we explain how to opt out in Your rights.
02 Products this policy covers
This policy applies to 2ndstrike.co and to the following products, each operated by 2nd Strike Corp:
Our website (2ndstrike.co) is informational and, by itself, collects only what is described in the sections below.
03 What we collect
We collect different information depending on which product you use.
Information you provide
- Contact & messages — if you email us or contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you include.
- Orders (90s Shades) — your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone (if given), and order contents. Card details are entered at checkout and processed by Shopify Payments; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
Information from connected accounts
- Streaming access (StreamToWax) — when you choose to connect a streaming service, you authorize us through that service’s secure login (OAuth) to read your saved albums or library. We use this to generate vinyl matches. We do not store your streaming password, and we do not retain a copy of your library after your session.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location, browser and device type, and identifiers, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies, analytics & ads).
- Server logs — our hosts automatically record IP address, request time, and referring page for security and operations.
- Mobile data (Slominoes, when live) — device and advertising identifiers, gameplay events, in-app purchase records, and crash/diagnostic reports, collected through the app stores and the SDKs below (Google AdMob, Firebase, and Crashlytics).
04 How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Fulfill and ship orders, process payments, and provide customer support.
- Provide StreamToWax’s core function — reading your library to find matching records.
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve our products.
- Measure how our products are used through analytics.
- Market our products, including through advertising you may see on other platforms.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
06 Third-party services
We share personal information with service providers only as needed to run our products. Key providers include:
- Shopify — hosts the 90s Shades store and processes orders and payments (Shopify Payments).
- Streaming platforms — when you connect an account to StreamToWax, that platform authenticates you and provides library access under its own terms.
- Marketplaces & affiliate programs — StreamToWax links out to third-party marketplaces (such as eBay and Amazon) to buy records. These are affiliate links: we participate in the eBay Partner Network and the Amazon Associates program, and when you click through or make a purchase, those networks may set cookies or receive identifiers so the referral can be attributed, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Purchases are governed by those sites’ own policies.
- Google Analytics, PostHog, and Meta — analytics and advertising, as described above.
- Google Workspace — handles email sent to our addresses.
- Apple App Store & Google Play — distribute Slominoes and process any in-app purchases when it launches.
- Google AdMob, Firebase & Crashlytics (Slominoes) — when Slominoes launches it will use Google’s AdMob to serve in-app ads (which may use your advertising identifier for personalized ads), Firebase for analytics and app infrastructure, and Crashlytics for crash and stability reporting. These are provided by Google under its terms.
- Hosting & fonts — serve our sites and assets; a font provider may receive your IP address to deliver web fonts.
Each provider processes data under its own terms. We share only what is necessary and do not authorize them to use your information for their own unrelated purposes.
07 Data retention
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the product and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. Email correspondence is kept for our business records. Analytics data is retained on a rolling basis per each tool’s settings. StreamToWax library data is processed transiently and not retained after your session. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
08 Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Request correction or deletion of your information.
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your information, but our use of the Meta Pixel may be considered “sharing.”
- Limit certain uses, or withdraw consent (such as disconnecting a streaming account).
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
To opt out of “sharing” / targeted advertising: adjust cookie and ad settings in your browser and Meta account, enable Global Privacy Control, or email us and we will apply your request. To exercise any other right, email info@2ndstrike.co. We will verify and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may also authorize an agent to act on your behalf.
09 Children’s privacy
Our products are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Slominoes, when released, will be rated and distributed under the app stores’ age policies. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10 International users
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries. If you access our products from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page, and we will update it before launching materially new data practices (such as the release of Slominoes). Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
